Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Tax Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS with accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems, excellent written and spoken English skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

The role involves preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS accurately, supporting Australian accountants and bookkeepers with day-to-day client needs, and performing administrative tasks for timely lodgments.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an Australian CPA/CA accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with Xero add-ons (Xero Practice Manager, Ignition, FYI).
  • Exposure to SMSF compliance.
Essential Skills
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and BAS/IAS accurately.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English for liaison with clients.
  • Time management & deadline focus, especially with ATO lodgments.
  • Adaptability & willingness to learn.
  • Confidentiality & integrity in handling sensitive financial data.
  • High level of accuracy when entering data, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.
