Financial Portfolio Specialist

This role will play a pivotal part in building and refining complex financial models at the portfolio level, delivering on investor reporting requirements, and managing operating portfolios of renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and enhance portfolio-level financial models to inform budgets and reforecasts, ensuring accurate forecasting and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze project-level budget to actual variance, identify areas for improvement, and communicate findings to operational teams.
- Identify underperformance and optimization opportunities of operating assets and provide actionable recommendations for improvement, driving efficiency and profitability.
- Create comprehensive reporting packages and deliverables for investors and lenders, showcasing portfolio performance and potential.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely delivery of key alerts and protect portfolios from operational risk, mitigating potential losses.
- Bolster data infrastructure to enable teams to isolate and investigate key performance drivers, informing data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field, with a strong foundation in financial analysis and modeling.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field or relevant coursework, with a proven track record of success in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in large datasets.
- Superior organizational and time management skills for efficient project management, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to various stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and operational teams.
- Experience in renewables, energy, or infrastructure is a plus but not required, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and markets.
- Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and present creative solutions, driving innovation and growth.
- Proficiency in working with large datasets, querying databases, and using ERP systems such as NetSuite, with expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
