Our company is seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will serve as the right-hand to the Controller and play a critical dual role within the accounting department.

This position requires someone who can operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels—supporting higher-level initiatives while also taking ownership of core accounting processes, such as close, reconciliations, and reporting.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong accounting expertise and business acumen. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment and take full ownership of their responsibilities with a mindset of continuous improvement.

We are looking for an individual who can lead the month-end close process: creating all journal entries, accruals, and adjustments while ensuring they are posted timely and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze general ledger accounts and provide insights on significant variances.
  • Assist in preparing internal financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and support management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued expenses) in our system; ensure resolution of discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all required tax forms.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
