Senior E-commerce Developer

This role involves working as part of a development team to build, maintain and enhance an e-commerce website on Shopify. The primary goal is to ensure the site functions smoothly, offering a seamless shopping experience for customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Website Development: Develop and customize Shopify themes, create responsive designs, and implement the latest trends and technologies in web development.
  • E-commerce Functionality: Set up product catalogs, integrate third-party applications, optimize features like shopping carts and checkout processes, and ensure payment gateways are secure.
  • Design Integration: Collaborate with designers to align the site's appearance with the company's brand guidelines, implementing visual elements and multimedia content.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve loading times and overall performance, ensuring SEO best practices are followed.
  • Security and Maintenance: Ensure the website is secure and up-to-date by applying regular patches and updates, performing backups, and having a disaster recovery plan in place.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs or issues, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of custom code, configurations, and integrations for future reference.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on using the Shopify platform and related tools.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Shopify developer with a strong portfolio of e-commerce websites.
  • Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid template language, knowledge of responsive web design principles, familiarity with Shopify Plus and its advanced features, and experience with SEO best practices and optimization.
  • Personality: Self-starter, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork skills.
