Job Title

BH Properties is a privately held commercial real estate investment firm focused on value-add acquisitions in office, industrial, retail, and multi-family properties throughout the Western United States, along with investments in distressed debt and ground leases. The company operates across 18 states.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions;
  • Assess borrower creditworthiness and approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis;
  • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio and identify emerging risks to implement mitigation strategies;
  • Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters; Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration;
  • Partner with legal, finance, and property management teams for smooth deal execution and risk alignment;
  • Provide regular reports on credit performance and risk exposure to executive leadership.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred);
  • Graduated cum laude or better from university is preferred;
  • 8–10+ years of experience in credit risk management preferably in real estate or top financial institutions;
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics;
  • Proficiency in credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills;
  • Solid organizational skills including ability to prioritize and multi-task;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision;
  • Excellent command of the English language;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must possess strong work ethic.
