Job Description:

Digital Building Integration

We are seeking a skilled Digital Building Integration Engineer to join our team. As a Digital Building Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fault detection and diagnostics products to clients and partners.

Your primary objective will be to ensure seamless onboarding projects and effective communication of timelines and milestones to analytics teams.

You will conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, discovering data, and organizing for Digital Building Engineers.

A key part of your role will be troubleshooting diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment.

You will take requests to review findings and validate results reported by the software.

In addition, you will provide training and engage customer and partner users specific to the Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues.

You will also be responsible for providing ongoing support of connected sites.

Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Confident self-motivated individual comfortable quickly grasping new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree or 5–6 years related industry experience.
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.
  • Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.
  • Exposure to BAS networking principles.
  • Ideal candidate will have exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (or a related technical degree) and an interest in building systems or significant field experience in a controls or services company serving the buildings industry.
  • Certificate or equivalent experience in basic networking or computer fundamentals.
  • Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and thoroughly.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to customers over the phone and through emails.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously across different countries.
  • Is thorough and analytical with good attention to detail.
  • Can creatively streamline processes and find efficiencies for executing complex technical tasks.
