Procurement Officer


Our company is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring high-quality solar energy components and materials. This role requires strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to manage multiple procurement activities under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for solar PV components, inverters, cables, mounting structures, and other Balance of System (BOS) materials.
  • Request, review, and compare quotations; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders following project requirements and company policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including pricing, supplier agreements, and purchase histories.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and project timelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of procurement experience, preferably within renewable energy or EPC sectors.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV components and international procurement best practices.
  • Experience working on utility-scale or commercial and industrial solar projects.
  • Familiarity with local and international supply markets for solar products.
  • Certification in procurement is an advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Precoro).
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement activities under tight deadlines.
