Job Title: Senior Financial Manager

The organization seeks an experienced professional to oversee financial operations, compliance, and strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior financial role. They should have strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations, experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and policy development. Additionally, proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and leadership skills are highly regarded.

  • Financial Operations & Compliance: Manage payroll, superannuation, ATO liabilities, bill approvals, and tax obligations.
  • Receivables & Invoicing: Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on payments, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Expense Monitoring & Financial Oversight: Track spending, adhere to budgets, investigate transactions, and oversee cash flow and liabilities.
  • Bookkeeping Support & Coordination: Provide transaction data to bookkeepers, ensure account reconciliation, and respond to financial inquiries.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, assist auditors, and provide financial insights for decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification;
  • 5+ years in a senior financial role;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations (ATO, superannuation), ASIC, and ACNC frameworks;
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and policy development;
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and ideally Salesforce;
  • Leadership skills, results-driven, and team-building abilities;
  • High ethics and integrity, committed to the organization's mission;
  • Reliable, accountable, and capable of meeting deadlines in remote work settings;
