The position of a Restaurant IT Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless IT system functioning across multiple venues, particularly during peak trading hours.
This entails providing timely and effective technical support to restaurant teams during business hours, including evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will be proactive, a problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys supporting hospitality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer real-time IT support to restaurant staff during working hours
- Maintain and update POS menus, item settings, modifiers, reservation systems, and online platforms
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to POS errors, printer malfunctions, delivery platform connectivity, and online reservation systems
- Communicate effectively with external vendors and platform support teams
- Document support cases and maintain an internal knowledge base of common issues and solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic networking knowledge (router/modem setup, IP configuration, DHCP/static IPs)
- Experience with hospitality technology platforms, including POS and online booking systems
- Proficiency with remote support tools such as TeamViewer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support non-technical users patiently and clearly
