About the Role

Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the Operations Manager position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing controllership operations, ensuring compliance with local, international, and client-specific accounting standards and policies.

This role involves overseeing balance sheet substantiation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Additionally, the Operations Manager will manage a team of accountants and senior associates, ensuring delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

A key aspect of this role is conducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching, and developing career plans for team members. The ideal candidate should foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage controllership operations, including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, international, and client-specific accounting standards and policies.
  • Oversee balance sheet substantiation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Manage a team of accountants and senior associates, ensuring delivery of KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and develop career plans for team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
Accounting & Compliance
  • Ensure strong internal control processes to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Partner with audit teams during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implement corrective actions for any control gaps identified.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process optimization.
  • Drive implementation of new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of accounting/controllership experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory frameworks, and internal controls.
  • Proven track record in leading large teams in a shared services or business process outsourcing environment.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strategic and operational leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
