Job Overview

The Purchasing Assistant role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day procurement activities, guaranteeing successful operations. This position involves supporting with inventory monitoring, maintaining vendor records, and handling basic purchasing tasks under the guidance of the Purchasing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in reviewing costs and comparing prices to aid purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and support professional communication as needed.
  • Support supplier audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and follow-up.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure product quality checks are carried out effectively.
  • Utilize purchasing and inventory systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with purchasing, compliance, inventory management, and basic contracts.
  • Proficient in inventory/purchasing systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (Asana, Zoom, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive, with a positive attitude.
