The Communications Network Specialist is a critical role within the organization, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining local communications networks at various project sites across the country. This position plays a vital part in integrating LCN components with surveillance systems such as radar, AIS, and EO/IR.

This specialist provides input for equipment procurement, installation, and sustainment planning to ensure operational readiness and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain local communications networks across project sites.
  • Assist in integrating LCN components with surveillance systems, including radar, AIS, EO/IR, and COP platforms.
  • Collaborate with ICT/OT, HF/VHF, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient communications.
  • Contribute to the planning and recommendation of equipment procurement, installation, and long-term sustainment.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to personnel on LCN operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of direct experience in designing, installing, and maintaining Local Communication Networks (LCNs).
  • Familiarity with maritime and coastal surveillance communications infrastructure, including knowledge of existing systems, networks, and technologies used for vessel monitoring, radar, AIS, and related communication platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of HF/VHF/UHF radio systems, including their configuration, operation, and maintenance for maritime and coastal surveillance applications.
