High Performance Linux Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Engineer to join our team. As a senior member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our high-performance hosting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with our engineering team to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance hosting solutions.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain our Linux-based hosting environments, including server administration, network configuration, and security hardening.
- Automation and DevOps: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline our deployment and management processes.
- Cloud and Virtualization: Deploy and manage cloud-based hosting solutions, including KVM, OpenStack, VMware, and containerized environments.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, including firewall rules, SELinux/AppArmor, IDS/IPS, and perform vulnerability assessments and patch management.
- 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment.
- 7+ years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role.
- MUST be a Libvirt expert with a minimum of 7+ yrs of experience.
- Expert knowledge of web hosting technologies (cPanel, Plesk, WHM, LAMP/LEMP stacks).
- Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, and Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Familiarity with RAID, SAN, NAS, and distributed storage systems.
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment with on-call duties.
- Certifications such as RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Kubernetes (CKA) are a plus.
