Lead Technical Professional

The Lead Technical Professional role is a key position that requires strong technical capabilities, leadership expertise, and the ability to develop a high-performing team. As a Lead Technical Professional, you will be responsible for managing a distributed team of engineers and its MLOps/Analytics portfolio, organizing and leading the team's processes to achieve objectives, conducting one-on-one meetings with team members, identifying and measuring team health indicators, interacting with a vibrant community, reviewing code produced by other engineers, attending conferences to represent Canonical and its MLOps solutions, and mentoring and growing direct reports, helping them achieve their professional goals.

This role demands a proven track record of professional experience in software delivery, preferably with open-source development experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of machine learning and its applications, as well as experience designing and implementing MLOps solutions. Additional skills that may be beneficial include hands-on experience with machine learning libraries, building highly automated machine learning solutions, and working knowledge of cloud computing. A passion for software quality and testing, along with demonstrated track records of Open Source contributions, are also valuable assets.
