Curriculum Developer Role

This role plays a pivotal part in creating engaging and effective learning experiences, collaborating with subject matter experts to develop high-quality content. The Curriculum Developer is responsible for supporting Learning Service Delivery within a Regional Learning Delivery hub or centre, contributing to the Global Learning Service Delivery Strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design to develop innovative learning materials.
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations, ensuring that the content meets their needs and expectations.
  • Determine the most appropriate delivery mechanisms (e-learning, virtual classroom, face-to-face etc.) to effectively reach learners.
  • Set clear instructional end goals and create content that matches them, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and finished products to enhance the learning experience.
  • Provide learner interactivity (exercises, activities etc.) that enhances the learning process and learner experience.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.) to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course and attainment of knowledge and other specified learner outcomes.
  • Maintain project documentation, version control, and course folders to ensure organization and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills to develop effective learning materials.
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies and multi-media formats.
  • Visual design skills to create engaging visuals.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar relevant field.
  • Certification in Instructional Design (preferred).
