Aircraft Interior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to support the design, development and integration of aircraft interior systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and documenting interior payload system requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop engineering design solutions using CAD software for modifications to aircraft cabin systems including cabin layout, galleys, monuments, lavatories, class dividers, seating and environmental systems.
  • Produce 3D design models, 2D drawings and Bill of Materials (APAs) with associated supporting documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Liaise with other design engineers, project managers and external vendors to ensure timely and effective design solutions.
  • Support the statement of work and bids for new customer requests working closely with customers and other teams within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in aircraft interiors mechanical structural design engineering.
  • Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization.
  • Proficiency in Inventor AutoCAD and knowledge of aircraft interior reconfiguration programs primary and secondary aircraft structures sheet metal forming fabrication machining and fastener selection.
  • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including ETSA CS23 CS25 CS29 CFR Part 25 & Part 21J design organizations.
