Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Claims Estimator. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Xactimate estimates for roof repairs and replacements, verifying line items, quantities, and pricing against scopes of loss, and managing communications with insurance adjusters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review Xactimate estimates for roof repairs and replacements.
  • Verify line items, quantities, and pricing against scopes of loss.
  • Update estimates after adjuster meetings and re-submissions as needed.
Scope of Loss Management:
  • Read, analyze, and extract action items from scopes of loss (SOL).
  • Track and follow up on SOL releases; ensure SOLs are attached to the correct claims.
  • Escalate and document discrepancies between SOL and on-site findings.
Adjuster Coordination & Communication:
  • Schedule and participate in desk/phone/video adjuster meetings.
  • Liaise with adjusters to clarify scope, coverage, and payment details.
  • Document meeting outcomes and next steps; ensure timely follow-up.

The ideal candidate will have experience with roofing/insurance estimating, Xactimate proficiency, and familiarity with insurance claim processes and SOL documents. They should also be comfortable using phone/video conferencing, CRM/claim tracking systems, and basic office tools. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Compensation: $5 per hour

This is a remote position that requires a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace. The work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm EST.
