Job Description

The Insurance Verification Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the insurance verification process, ensuring seamless and accurate verification of patient insurance coverage and authorizations. They provide direct supervision to a team of insurance verification specialists, supporting their growth and development while adhering to established procedures and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and supports a team of insurance verification specialists, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
  • Provides training, coaching, and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills and performance while promoting continuous learning and professional development.
  • Develops and implements standardized procedures for insurance verification, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Oversees and participates in the verification of patient insurance coverage, guaranteeing timely and accurate results.
  • Supports team members in resolving insurance-related inquiries and discrepancies, providing guidance and expertise when needed.
  • Collaborates with billing and coding teams to address insurance-related claim rejections and denials, driving resolution and improving outcomes.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies in insurance coverage and billing information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conducts regular training sessions and provides ongoing support to ensure team members are proficient in insurance verification procedures and software.
Requirements

This position requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in prior authorization.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
