Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing a strategic purchasing plan that aligns with the organization's objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing Strategy Development: Develops a comprehensive purchasing strategy that ensures optimal value for money and meets business needs.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Reviews and processes purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Sales Team Management: Oversees the management of sales teams, ensuring they meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Control: Maintains accurate records of goods ordered and received, ensuring efficient inventory control and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
  • Relationship Building: Builds and maintains relationships with vendors, ensuring a reliable supply chain and excellent service quality.
  • Vendor Selection: Selects prospective vendors based on their ability to meet business needs, while also considering factors such as quality, timeliness, and price.
  • Evaluation and Scheduling: Evaluates vendors based on their performance and schedules deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Tech Research: Stays current with the latest purchasing technology trends and oversees the implementation of new tools and systems as needed.
