
Logistics Operations Specialist

The primary function of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and logistics facilities. You will be responsible for managing a team, coordinating supply chain activities, and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of staff, including contractors and temporary personnel.
- Strategically plan and manage all logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Oversee receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of products to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and maintain up-to-date stock control systems and accurate inventory records.
- Plan for future warehouse capacity and resource requirements.
- Develop and implement warehouse processes and projects, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff performance, taking disciplinary action when needed.
- Encourage a high-performance team culture through motivation, organization, and support.
- Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health, safety, hygiene, and security regulations.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational costs.
- Maintain and oversee the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles.
- Manage warehouse operations and external facilities across multiple locations.
- Support import/export processes with the logistics team, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support overall business objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years in a warehouse, logistics, or operations management/supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing teams and multiple warehouse sites.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse procedures, policies, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
