Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure proper authorization and compliance with company policies before payment.
  • Schedule and prepare payments via electronic payment systems.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organized records of payments and vendor files.
  • Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP-related reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send customer invoices in accordance with contract terms.
  • Monitor accounts for overdue balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
  • Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Reconcile AR ledger and support month-end reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in an AP/AR or general accounting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with accounting systems.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
