Accounts Payable and Receivable Expert

This role is responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements accurately and promptly.
    • Ensure proper authorization and compliance with company policies before payment.
    • Schedule and prepare payments via electronic funds transfer or other authorized methods.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Maintain organized records of payments and vendor files.
    • Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP-related reports.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Generate and send customer invoices in accordance with contract terms.
    • Monitor accounts for overdue balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
    • Apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
    • Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
    • Reconcile AR ledger and support month-end reporting processes.
  • Payroll:
    • Review and approve payroll runs.
    • Review payroll reports for exceptions prior to processing.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an AP/AR or general accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
