The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and securing an organization's network infrastructure. This includes LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewalls and other network devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance, availability and security to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues including connectivity, latency and bandwidth problems.
  • Manage and configure VPNs, VLANs, subnets and other network segmentation techniques.
  • Administer and enforce network security measures including firewall rules, IDS/IPS and access control policies.
  • Perform regular updates, firmware upgrades and patch management for network devices.
  • Implement network monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on server, cloud and application integration into the network.
  • Document network diagrams, configurations and standard operating procedures.
Technical Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in network administration or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet or similar networking devices.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Wireshark).
