Network Operations Center Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network.

Job Description:

This position involves monitoring and acknowledging alarms, creating fault tickets, performing first-line troubleshooting, escalating incidents as necessary, and updating ticket statuses. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Network Operations Center (NOC), including proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and performance analysis.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operational continuity of network services and integrated systems. This requires a deep understanding of network fundamentals, protocols, and tools, as well as hands-on scripting and automation experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and acknowledge alarms at Alarm Management System (AMS)/Element Management System (EMS) for the core network.
  • Create fault tickets for network incidents and outages.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting of alarms, outages, and network quality/performance issues.
  • Update the status of all open tickets and clear them immediately upon fault restoration.
  • Escalate incidents to support groups for onsite support when needed.
  • Provide regular and timely updates on incident statuses until resolution.
  • Resolve complaints endorsed by the Service Desk.
  • Implement activities and work requests assigned by team leaders, adhering to schedule and quality standards.
  • Manage monitoring tools, alert systems, and automated health checks.
Requirements:
  • Ticket handling performance, end-to-end service assurance turnaround time, customer communication, reports, attendance, and project contributions.
  • Implementation of corrective and preventive actions for high-risk audit findings, and maintaining business continuity plans during disruptions.
Deliverables:
  • Resolution of alarms, outages, and complaints.
  • Visualization of network health in relation to deployment activities.
