This is a remote bookkeeping position that requires experience in managing day-to-day financial tasks.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in bookkeeping using Xero, proficiency with Dext, and strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero: reconcile accounts, process invoices, manage expenses, and handle general ledger entries.
- Use Dext to capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices; ensure digital documents are organized and audit-ready.
- Process and track accounts payable and receivable; prepare supplier payments and chase incoming payments as needed.
- Collaborate with management to support accurate job costing: allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Prepare monthly management reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
- Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountants for GST and tax matters.
