The role of the Business Development Representative is crucial in creating and developing new business opportunities. This role plays a key part in reaching out to potential customers and initiating conversations to identify their needs, qualify their interests, and set up meetings or appointments for the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads, set meetings, and schedule appointments between prospective customers and a sales representative.
- Research and identify new market opportunities through targeted engagement with prospect accounts.
- Perform high-volume outreach while maintaining productivity through frequent calls and emails to prospective clients or candidates.
- Support Account Executives on outbound strategies and lead-generating efforts.
- Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine next steps for each prospect.
Requirements:
- Experience in Lead Generation, Appointment Setting, and Cold Calling in a B2B setup.
- Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and positive phone presence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet targets.
