Construction Estimation Specialist

As a skilled construction estimation specialist, you will play a vital role in analyzing drawings and specifications to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work, taking into account historical data and pricing trends.
  • Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing to improve estimate accuracy.
  • Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions to provide expert insights.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably 3+ years.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, such as ProEst or PlanSwift.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
