About This Role
The position of a Document Investigator involves meticulous analysis and research to verify title records. In this capacity, you will ensure accuracy in final deliverables while possessing strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into ownership records and relevant documents.
  • Communicate with team members to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze provided documents using specialized software to generate reports and flowcharts.
  • Prioritize tasks and meet client expectations for deliverables such as Plats & Deed Plots.
  • Maintain open communication throughout projects and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Familiarize yourself with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • A degree in History, Political Science, Research, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in extensive research, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as ability to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background working with U.S.-based companies in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience as a Title Agent or land title researcher.
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas Mineral Title and Surface Title requisites in various states.
