Job Title: Academic Research Assessor

This role involves evaluating the quality and validity of research manuscripts for academic journals and publishers. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in the subject area, with at least two publications in the last two years in their field.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating Manuscripts: Assess whether the manuscript adds new knowledge or insights to the field of study.
  • Assessing Study Design and Methodology: Evaluate whether the study design and methods are appropriate, comprehensive, and clearly described.
  • Literature Review: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research in the field.
  • Analysing Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and appropriately, and whether the conclusions are supported by the data.
  • Providing Constructive Feedback: Provide suggestions for improvement or highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.

As a peer reviewer, you will be responsible for evaluating manuscripts in various stages of development, providing constructive feedback, and recommending publication or revision based on your evaluation. The ability to provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback is essential in this role.
