Financial Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. This role involves performing various accounting and reporting tasks, working closely with the business units to ensure smooth financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 2 years of experience in a related industry, and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting and reporting activities such as preparing journal entries, reconciliations, variances analysis, and finance reports.
  • Work closely with the business units to ensure smooth flow in the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycle.
  • Maintain control / process documentation and prepare audit requests related to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Participate actively in process improvement initiatives by understanding and analyzing business needs and sharing best practices with other team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in related industry.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory rules and/or business processes.
  • Demonstrates broad based analytical and inquiry skills to understand legal entity financial statements, board reports, and/or filing.
  • Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of several specific reporting concepts as they relate to a specific area of focus.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
  • Effective interaction and communication skills with different cultures to communicate issues to management and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to attain a working knowledge of US GAAP, and IFRS 17 accounting base.
  • Strong computer skills and an advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the Essbase add-in (knowledge in Power BI and Alteryx is a plus).
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Lawson accounting segments and Essbase roll up.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with JETS to create and post journal entries.
  • Demonstrates strong organization and documentation skills to evidence a clear audit trail for work performed.
