Senior Fund Accountant is a key role at our organization. This position involves analyzing fund performance, understanding securities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, processing investor movements, and maintaining industry-standard knowledge.

About the Role
  • This is a senior-level position requiring advanced expertise in financial analysis and reporting.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with complex financial data, understanding market trends, and staying up-to-date on regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze client funds' performance monthly to ensure alignment with investment objectives.
  • Stay current on industry developments, including new regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of investor movements.
  • Maintain knowledge of securities, including equities, bonds, swaps, options, FX, mortgages, financing, and futures.
  • Reconcile cash and securities accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Research and resolve differences between accounting and broker reports.
  • Establish and improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage KPIs to ensure high-quality client services.
  • Perform regular audits of work processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide reports as required, using data to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and review GAAP financial statements and maintain general ledger.
  • Calculate and review partner allocations, management fees, and performance fees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Fund Accounting, preferably with hedge funds.
