Project Director Role

The role of Project Director involves overseeing the successful delivery of projects through effective stakeholder engagement and management.

  • Ensuring projects are completed within specified timeframes, budget, and resources requirements.
  • Identifying and mitigating key risks and issues that could impact project success.
  • Maintaining strong customer focus and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Conducting regular progress meetings with customers and providing guidance as needed.
  • Managing the delivery schedule of critical third-party deliverables for the project.
  • Advocating for customers by recommending appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio.
  • Driving project success while minimizing risks.
Key Skills:
  • Experience in managing Enterprise IT programs, process improvement, and software engineering projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Leadership experience in cross-cultural, remote, and global project teams and customers.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of Linux, Open Source, and Cloud Technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Project Management Certification, preferably PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Agile Project Management certification, preferably Scrum Master or equivalent certification.
