Key Financial Specialist

The purpose of this position is to oversee the financial management for a client across various subsidiaries. This role requires overseeing entity-level and group-wide financial processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic alignment in multiple sectors.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Accounts Management: Oversee quote preparation, invoicing, and payment reminders for revenue streams related to each entity.
  • Transaction Oversight: Manage purchase orders (POs) and payout scheduling for each subsidiary.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Perform regular payment and payout reconciliations for entity transactions.
  • Manual Entry: Record entity-specific transactions and adjust Profit and Loss (P/L) and Balance Sheet (B/S) movements.
  • Expense Approvals: Implement controls for authorising expenses specific to each entity.
  • Payment Controls: Oversee authorisation controls for payments made by each entity.
  • Procurement: Establish financial controls for purchase orders and approvals specific to each entity.
  • Statutory Reporting: Prepare quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and annual returns for each entity.
  • Management Reporting: Provide entity-level Profit and Loss (P/L), Balance Sheet (B/S), and cash flow statements.
  • Revenue Recognition: Implement entity-specific revenue recognition rules.
  • Budget Development: Develop budgets for each entity.
  • Forecasting: Prepare financial forecasts for each entity.
  • Asset Management: Manage depreciation schedules for tangible and intangible assets specific to each entity.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing, superannuation, and PAYG compliance for each entity.
  • Commission Management: Administer commission and bonus schedules specific to each entity.
  • Project-Based Accounting: Track revenue and costs associated with projects undertaken by each entity.
  • Intellectual Property Valuation: Value and amortise intellectual property assets specific to each entity.
  • Vendor & Talent Payment: Manage payments made to vendors, freelancers, and talent engaged by each entity.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Manage eliminations for group consolidation purposes.
  • Consolidated Reporting: Provide consolidated financial reports for the group.
  • Cash Pooling: Manage cash pooling and liquidity across the group.
  • Transfer Pricing: Establish arm's length pricing for inter-company transactions.
  • Group Tax Strategy: Develop tax strategies for the group.
  • Intercompany Service Agreements: Draft and maintain agreements for shared services between entities.
  • Consolidated Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare consolidated cash flow forecasts for the group.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the group.
  • Capital Structure Evaluation: Evaluate debt versus equity financing for the group.
  • Debt Facility Monitoring: Monitor and report on debt facilities used by the group.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Manage ad hoc consolidation and tax advisory projects.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate audits for all entities within the group.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Due Diligence: Conduct financial due diligence for group acquisitions.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare consolidated financial reports for shareholders, the board, and external stakeholders.
  • Modelling: Build consolidated three-way forecasts, M&A models, and financial charts.
