Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Governance and Assurance professional to lead the development of our governance architecture, processes, and procedures. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust governance framework that ensures successful project development, delivery, and control throughout all project phases.


The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of requirements for successful governance for major projects and be able to apply lessons from other major programs. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work with executive-level members of the client and other external stakeholders with diplomacy and care.


This is a mid-senior level position that requires a high degree of autonomy and independence. The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing, authorizing, directing, empowering, and overseeing management, as well as ensuring that those at the working level are empowered to make day-to-day decisions aligned to the overall project objectives.



Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a robust governance framework that ensures successful project development, delivery, and control throughout all project phases.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project RACIs, drumbeat of reporting and assurance.
  • Prioritize, authorize, direct, empower, and oversee management.
  • Ensure that those at the working level are empowered to make day-to-day decisions aligned to the overall project objectives.
  • Maintain collaboratively governance and assurance management plan.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize and work as part of a team, lead by example, and demonstrate the key importance of governance to successful major infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborative approach and initiative.
  • Strong understanding of requirements for successful governance for major projects, ability to apply lessons from other major programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or project management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Project management qualification.
