Responsibilities
  • Manage daily freight forwarding activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers, agents, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare shipping instructions and coordinate shipments with shipping lines, taking into account customer requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, and KPIs, providing regular reports to management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, consignees, truckers, customs clearance brokers, and agents worldwide.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, exploring new fields of business development and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
  • More than 8 years' experience in business-related work, specifically in the import and export business/trucking and deliveries.
  • Prior experience in big global freight forwarding companies is highly desirable.
  • Knowledgeable in the IMPEX process, with a strong understanding of global forwarding processes and local regulations.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to deal with forwarders, brokers, and clients effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in advanced office applications and computer software, with excellent English communication skills.
