Construction Estimating Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimating Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed estimates
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to provide competitive bids
- Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications
- Soliciting and evaluating bids from subcontractors and vendors
- Maintaining a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing
- Participating in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred)
- Experience with estimating in construction
- Proficiency with estimating software
- A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus points if you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Experience with remote collaboration tools
- Knowledge of local building codes and permit processes
