Senior Financial Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to delivering high-quality financial services.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strong client base through exceptional professional service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of tasks.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients by providing proactive support and guidance.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Handle calculations, preparation, and submission of BAS, IAS, and FBT returns for companies.
  • Advise clients on technical matters and offer a comprehensive range of services.
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, including those with rental properties, capital gains, PSI, and sole traders.
  • Prepare and submit Super Guarantee Charge Statements and TPAR reports.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reports.
  • Continuously improve and update internal procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date client files and internal communications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within an accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in key accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple clients.
  • Working knowledge of tax agent portals, including the ATO Tax Agent Portal.

Desirable Technical Experience:

  • FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) compliance.
  • CGT (Capital Gains Tax) management.
  • Division 7A compliance.
  • PSI (Personal Services Income) handling.
  • Tax planning expertise.
