Accounting Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and familiarity with finance regulations.
  • Good mathematical skills and the ability to identify numerical errors.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
