The Senior Accountant role offers a mix of hands-on accounting work and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong technical accounting background, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have QuickBooks Online experience and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting routine:
    • Process Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, ensuring timely payments
    • Customer Invoicing and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
    • Daily bank reconciliation and cash reporting
    • Bi-monthly Payroll processing (using ADP)
    • Excel reporting
  2. General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurately reported. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules timely and accurately.
  3. Month-End Close: Prepare and execute the month-end close process for timely and accurate financial reporting.
  4. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  5. Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support audit preparations.
  6. Tax Preparation & Reporting: Assist in preparing tax returns and filings for various taxes.
  7. Financial Analysis: Provide insights through analysis of variances, trends, and forecasts.
  8. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to align financial goals with business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or similar certification is a plus)
  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
