Join our team as an Instructional Designer to create engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content in cooperation with subject matter experts.

The role involves working with a team supporting Learning Service Delivery within a Regional Learning Delivery hub or centre and supports the Global Learning Service Delivery Strategy.

  • Apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations.
  • Identify the most appropriate and effective delivery mechanisms (e-learning, virtual classroom, face-to-face etc.)
  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • For e-learning visualize instructional graphics and the finished product
  • Provide learner interactivity that enhances the learning process and learner experience
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course and attainment of knowledge and other specified learner outcomes.
  • Identify poor quality and/or outdated learning content and offer recommendations for improvement or replacement.
  • Ensure the alignment of new content implementation as required. Including identification prerequisites and related/interdependent courses as defined by curriculum requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies (HTML) and multi-media formats (jpg, mp4, mp3)
  • Visual design skills (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • BA or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field
  • Certification in Instructional Design (preferred)
