Medical Content Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Medical Content Specialist to develop and create high-quality, medically accurate communications for various audiences.

This role requires a strong science or healthcare background combined with creative writing skills to produce engaging content for branded campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of translating complex medical/scientific concepts into clear and concise copy, as well as experience in creating medical slide decks, websites, and patient education materials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement content strategies to meet business objectives
  • Create high-quality, medically accurate content for various audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends in medical education and pharma industry developments

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferably with a Bachelor's Degree or PhD in any science or medical field
  • At least 2-5 years of medical writing experience, including creating medical or scientific content for clinical trials, doctors, healthcare, and the public
  • Experience in pharma agency work is a great advantage
  • Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (preferred but not required; can be trained)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all content is on-brand and compliant
