Engineering Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a technical leader who can drive the success of our software engineering team. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of skilled engineers working remotely in global locations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring software developers. They should be able to demonstrate sound engineering principles by directly contributing code themselves and plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders or customers

This role involves travelling globally up to 10% of the time for internal and external events.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of developing and growing people, knowledge of agile software development, experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring software developers, especially those working with Python. Bonus points for having graduated with a university degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field, having a thorough understanding of modern infrastructure, including OpenStack or Kubernetes, experience in operations as well as software development, being familiar with the challenges of large-scale, multi-cloud operations, and Go expertise.
