Chief Financial Operations Manager

The role of a Controller is to oversee the financial operations of an organization, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. This involves preparing and presenting financial statements, providing financial analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making, and leading the budgeting and forecasting process.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with financial regulations. They will also be proficient in accounting software and financial planning tools, and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
About the Role:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present accurate financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and local regulations. Provide detailed financial analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Cash Flow Management: Maintain optimal cash flow levels by managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions. Forecast cash flow needs to support business operations and growth initiatives.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits. Coordinate with external auditors to complete audits efficiently.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and security. Leverage technology and software tools to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a software or tech company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial planning tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
