Senior Bookkeeper Opportunity

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will take charge of leading financial operations by mentoring junior bookkeepers and maintaining standard operating procedures. You will ensure timely completion of month-end close while guaranteeing robust and reliable financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor junior bookkeepers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring efficient invoice preparation, approval flows, and reconciliation.
  • Manage onboarding and cleanup workflows for new client accounts, streamlining processes for optimal results.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures, checklists, and process documentation to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards.
  • Train and coach junior bookkeepers, serving as an escalation contact and fostering growth within the team.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and meet all deadlines for month-end close, ensuring seamless financial operations.
Competencies and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup, with expertise in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence, with a strong focus on quality control.
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience, with a demonstrated ability to train and develop team members.
  • Track record of creating or refining standard operating procedures and efficient workflows, resulting in improved operational efficiency.
