Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team as a Telecommunications Systems Administrator. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, servers, networks, and software applications within the telecommunications environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Management: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications specific to the telecommunications environment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot to ensure optimal performance.
  • Data Integrity: Perform regular backups, data integrity checks, and disaster recovery measures to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • User Access Control: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with industry-specific compliance and security standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide prompt and effective technical support and resolution for user inquiries and technical issues related to telecommunications systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and telecommunications specialists, to implement and enforce IT policies and procedures.
  • Security Audits: Conduct system audits to protect against unauthorized access and data breach, taking into account telco-specific vulnerabilities.
Requirements
  • Cisco UC Experience: Experience in Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
  • Desktop and Network Skills: In addition to Cisco UC also has experience in the desktop and network space.
  • All-Round IT Expertise: Preferably an all-round IT Administrator.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role within the telecommunications (telco) industry.
  • Telco Knowledge: Strong knowledge of telecommunications-specific (telco) systems and protocols.
  • Telco Equipment and Technologies: Experience with telecommunications-specific (telco) equipment and technologies, such as PBX systems, VoIP, and SIP.
  • Network Infrastructure: Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure tailored for telecommunications, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Telco Software Applications: Familiarity with telecommunications-specific (telco) software applications, billing systems, and customer management platforms.
  • System Security: Solid understanding of system security principles and best practices in the telecommunications (telco) industry.
