The Opportunity

This role involves playing a key part in linking patients with the care they need, working closely with clinical teams and marketers from our healthcare client.

This position is remote and offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review hospital discharge medical records to assess compatibility with available services at the facility.
  • Assess patients' social and mental backgrounds to determine suitability for admission.
  • Verify health insurance benefits and eligibility, including prior authorization with insurance companies and doctors' offices.
  • Admit eligible and appropriate patients to the facility.
  • Collaborate with social workers from various hospitals to facilitate smooth patient placements.
  • Respond to inquiries related to services and referrals in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate with hospital marketers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure necessary medical services are available before accepting referrals.
To Succeed:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare admissions or case management; familiarity with discharge records and insurance verification.
  • Understanding of healthcare systems, medical terminology, and referral processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency with healthcare software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with teams.
  • Detail-oriented, empathetic, and able to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

Working Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) - 9am to 6pm
