Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of financial statements, VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and other accounting deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, regulations, and best practices. You will be responsible for reviewing junior staff work, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing guidance and constructive feedback to improve processes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Review and oversee the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and P11Ds while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and review UK payroll processes, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts for UK limited companies in accordance with UK accounting standards.
  • Work closely with junior bookkeepers, providing guidance and constructive feedback while ensuring deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a UK Accounting Firm, with a strong understanding of UK accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to review junior staff work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds, and statutory accounts up until submission.
  • Extensive experience managing UK payroll and HMRC compliance.
  • Leadership and team delegation skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring accounting teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and other UK accounting software.
