Senior Financial Expert

The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct high-level analyses of revenue, cost of sales, client margins, SG&A expenses and a variety of system data for historical trends, present operations and future projections.

About the Role

• Analyze statistics and utilize principles of accounting to analyze past and present operations as well as future revenues and expenditures.
• Develop familiarity with financial projection models. Update metrics needed for accurate and timely projections which may include revenue, sales and labor by client and a host of detailed analyses.
• Create financial models, prepare projections and perform research and analysis on all aspects of finance and operations.
• Meet with senior management to develop project plans and communicate status.
• Update projection model as needed to accurately project new/revised data and communicate changes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting with ability to interpret business transactions and journalize properly.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Recommend financial action based on accounting options.
• Assist with budgeting processes which may include information gathering, analysis and reporting from a variety of systems.
• Using online training as well as on the job training, become a subject matter expert on Business Intelligence (BI) in software applications.
• Design and maintain user reports in BI that help analyze and provide data to other departments as well as Finance.
• Use internal software and metrics to provide departmental budget and actual data and related analyses.
• Other reporting as needed.
• May develop, install, and maintain accounting systems that provide control of GL, reporting, receivables, and expenditures.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Administrative tasks to support all above functions.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects related to internal and external customers, team members and management.

7. Identify and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
8. Making informed recommendations based on accounting options.
9. Support budgeting processes, including information gathering, analysis, and reporting from various systems.
10. Become an expert in Business Intelligence (BI) software applications through online and on-the-job training.
11. Design and maintain user reports in BI to provide data to other departments and Finance.
12. Utilize internal software and metrics to provide departmental budget and actual data, along with related analyses.
13. Perform other reporting tasks as necessary.
14. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems that control GL, reporting, receivables, and expenditures.
15. Collaborate with the team to accomplish related tasks.
16. Complete administrative tasks supporting the above functions.
17. Ensure confidentiality regarding internal and external customers, team members, and management.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Advanced degree or certifications in Accounting or related field preferred.
