Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to communicate with patients regarding their financial responsibilities and accurately document all interactions in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively reach out to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.
  • Provide clear explanations of billing statements and assist with setting up payment plans when needed.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information in the EHR system.
  • Work closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity (HIPAA compliance).
  • Comfortable using billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Durable Medical Equipment industry.
  • Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding.
  • Familiarity with denial management and appeals processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
