
Patient Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Remote Intake Specialist to join our team.
In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for patients calling in with urgent or non-urgent needs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care by answering phone calls, gathering patient information, scheduling appointments, and communicating with doctors.
This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Frontline Patient Communication: Answer and manage intake phone calls from patients in a friendly, professional manner.
- Patient Information Gathering: Obtain and record detailed client information, including personal details, location, and a summary of symptoms or chief complaints.
- Appointment Scheduling: Quickly assess the urgency of the patient's needs and schedule same-day or urgent appointments accordingly.
- Doctor Coordination: Determine and assign the appropriate doctor for each case based on the patient's symptoms, location, and timing.
- Communication & Follow-Up: Send out confirmation details and informative follow-ups to patients and doctors.
- Post-Appointment Follow-Up: Reach out to patients to confirm their issue was addressed and they are satisfied with the service.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also perform administrative tasks, maintain organized records, and continuously uphold high standards for data accuracy, confidentiality, and responsive customer service.
This is a remote position that requires a dependable high-speed internet connection, a quiet, professional environment, and the necessary hardware to perform the job without interruptions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in software applications such as CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
